ECOTN welcomes back Dr. Jack Parker and Parker Cornea.
In every discipline or area of study, there are always individuals who rise to the top of their field. It’s also pretty remarkable how these individuals are drawn to each other and use shared experiences to increase capabilities.
As cataract and glaucoma surgeons see a large volume of specialized cases each year, surgical collaboration creates the ability to provide innovative changes in patient care.
Eye Centers of Tennessee is pleased to collaborate with some of the best surgeons in the world, recently we had the privilege of hosting the world famous cornea specialist Jack Parker MD, from Parker Cornea and the University of Alabama Birmingham.
This trip we were especially pleased to have Jack Parker’s father John Parker MD, in attendance. The last time we hosted these two amazing surgeons were at our facility was to train our surgeon, Dr. Michael Patterson in corneal transplant techniques. However, on this trip, Dr. Parker came for the ability to increase his own skillset and become a better cataract and glaucoma surgeon.
“I have been blessed to travel all around the world and work with some of the finest living eye surgeons: from Holland to Nicaragua, and all across the United States. I can honestly say that I have never seen a more impressive set of doctors or facilities as I do here at Eye Centers of Tennessee.”
Dr. Parker continues, “The father/son team of Larry and Michael Patterson are truly the best in the world at what they do, and more importantly, they are the kind of people that I would want operating on myself or a member of my own family.”
“Eye Centers of Tennessee is excited to partner with colleagues from around the country to better serve the community of the Upper Cumberland” says Dr. Michael Patterson.
“We are happy to continue to lead the way in cornea, glaucoma, cataract, retina, and oculoplastic procedures for the entire Upper Cumberland region.”
Our surgeons at Eye Centers of Tennessee are continually asked to speak at conferences and retreats around the world each year for this reason.
“When passionate experts collaborate, it pushes the entire community forward.”
