The leadership team at Eye Centers of Tennessee (ECOTN) announced today that Heather Brown-Conner, O.D., has joined the ECOTN staff and that Dr. Brown-Conner will begin seeing patients every Thursday, beginning April 4, 2019, at Byrdstown Medical Center.

“Dr. Brown-Conner’s addition to the ECOTN staff gives us the chance to extend our service footprint dramatically, delivering a new eye care option to residents across the northern reaches of the Upper Cumberland,” said Dr. Larry Patterson, Medical Director at Eye Centers of Tennessee. “One of our many 2019 goals is to positively impact as many lives as possible, and Dr. Brown-Conner will certainly be doing that in Byrdstown.”

A native of Albany, Kentucky, Dr. Brown-Conner double-majored in chemistry and biology at Western Kentucky University before graduating with honors from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2004. With more than 15 years of optometric experience, Dr. Brown-Conner has long been a valuable member of the Upper Cumberland medical community.

“It’s no secret that we’re in growth mode at ECOTN and that we’ve sprinted into 2019 with a full head of steam,” said Dr. Michael Patterson, Partner at Eye Centers of Tennessee. “But we’re not expanding our presence for sheer growth’s sake. We want to help people enjoy fuller lives through better vision. Thanks to Dr. Brown-Conner’s willingness to join us, we’ll be able to successfully realize that vision. We’re really excited to have her on our team.”

To start, Dr. Brown-Conner will continue her present optometric duties in Cookeville, Tennessee, except for Thursdays when she’ll be seeing patients at Byrdstown Medical Center, located at 8401 TN-111, Byrdstown, Tennessee, 38549. Any alterations to this schedule will be announced to the public when appropriate.
